I'm Emily, a Hampshire Girl hiking from Mexico to Canada for charity
I'll be hiking 2,663 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail, otherwise known as the PCT, for five months with everything I need to survive carried on my back!
Hiking for a cause I believe in
KOTO is a not-for-profit social enterprise that empowers at-risk and disadvantaged youth in Vietnam through its holistic hospitality training programme.
Diary of a hiker in training
I've got so much to learn; what am I going to eat? Is my tent waterproof? How do I plan my route? Where do I camp?
I will try and share through my blog as much of the journey as I can!
Quarterly Fundraising Report
Since the last report in May, Emily has been able to enjoy planning and completing training trips in the UK as coronavirus related restrictions ease. It is these journeys that help her practice and help her decide on camping and hiking equipment while spending multiple days in challenging terrains away from civilization.
